The charitable purposes during a 3-5 years period are the restoration in more phases of the Terme Alte complex, made possible through dedicated support, donations from fundraising campaigns and individual giving. Hopefully within a 2 years period, the fundraising projects and campaigns will also include programs for cultural activities and education in the first part of the restored and reopened complex.

“On October 14th, during the 48th NIAF annual anniversary Gala event in Washington, D.C., the American Friends of Terme Alte di Porretta was officially launched. The event was graced by the presence of President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, as well as Italian Ambassador to the U.S. Mariangela Zappia, President of the Region Emilia-Romagna Stefano Bonaccini, President of NIAF Robert V. Allegrini, among others.

We have developed a solid fundraising plan and are honoured and excited to connect and engage with U.S. donors who wish to support the programs and activities of the American Friends of Terme Alte di Porretta.”

American Friends of Terme Alte di Porretta carries out its activities throughout Italy, in the U.S. and internationally. U.S.-based donors can make tax-deductible contributions to the American Friends of Terme Alte di Porretta at the King Baudouin Foundation United States (KBFUS). A public charity, within the meaning of Sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) of the IRC, and donors may claim the maximum tax benefits allowed by U.S. tax law for their contributions.

The official Italian legal name is as follows: Associazione Salute, Benessere, turismo e alimentazione. (Non profit association) This name is also publicly listed and can be found on the KBFUS website.
